Stan's Willow Run Lunch Wagon

$35.00

Poster size is 14" wide x 20" tall, which includes a handsome 1" white border area, and is printed on heavyweight poster stock.

Designed and illustrated by artist Chris Bidlack, this Art Print Poster is part of his whimsical “faux-stalgia” series. This poster takes a unique, fictionally nostalgic look at Willow Run’s storied past producing B-24 bombers during World War II. Although as far as we know, Stan’s Victory Lunch Wagon never existed, we’re sure you’ll agree that it should have! Featured in the background are the Willow Run Bomber Plant’s iconic double bay doors, out of which rolled one bomber every hour. Willow Run Airport (YIP) was built as part of the massive bomber plant complex and originally served the B-24 Liberator bombers produced there. The poster also references Willow Run Village, a hastily-built housing community for bomber plant workers, nicknamed “Bomber City.”

Subjects include Ann Arbor, University of Michigan, and Ypsilanti favorites and landmarks. See more of Chris’ faux-stalgia art at GreatLakesPosters.com

Poster will arrive carefully packaged and ready for you to unroll and frame. Click on the image to see the full poster in detail. (And of course, the "JetAgeArt.com" watermark does not appear on the actual poster.)
